PENSA-KNUST Rural Evangelism 2026 Records 3,267 Souls Saved in Atonsu Area
Rural Evangelism 2026 did not only showcase the powerful manifestation of the Holy Spirit but also displayed the Lord’s desire to save all that is lost.

The 2026 Edition of the Most Impactful, Epic, Annual Evangelism Outreach dubbed “Rural Evangelism” organized by Pentecost Students and Associate (PENSA), KNUST, came off at the Atonsu Area of the Church of Pentecost from September 8 to 11, 2026 under the auspices and leadership of the newly welcomed Resident PENSA Campus Pastor, Pastor Emmanuel Ayisi Manu and Mrs. Abigail Manu.
Before the evangelism exercise, the student-missionaries (militants) embarked on a 15-day fasting and prayer period to spiritually prepare themselves for the task ahead. Training sessions were also conducted for the leaders of the various groups (commandants) and their chefs to equip them with the necessary skills for the crusade. An all-night session was organized for the church to pray for the success of the village crusade in the mission field.
The team was dispatched to 14 centers in all the districts of the Area, namely Gyinase Center, Atonsu Center, Dompoase Center, Esreso Center, Feyiase Center, Aputuogya Center, Jachie Center, Abidjan Nkwanta Center, Oyoko Center, Bokro Center, Sawua Center, Kuntanase Center, Bosomtwe Center and Bosomtwe Lakeside Center. Each center had a commandant who oversaw the activities of the centers.
The evangelistic activity saw zealous and vibrant students come together, full of compassion aimed at proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ to all residents of the Atonsu Area. With high morale, the militants marched to their respective centers in the fullness of the Holy Spirit and Power (Acts 10:38), poised to fulfill the Heavenly mandate of making disciples for Christ.
With varieties of evangelistic strategies such as dawn broadcasting, ghetto evangelism, crusades, house-to-house evangelism, market and school outreaches coupled with health screenings as add-ons, the evangelism saw a great harvest of souls to the glory of God, with mind-blowing testimonies of the Power of the demonstration of the Holy Spirit amongst the people of Atonsu.
The evangelism offered participants the opportunity to network with one another, renew their commitment to the work of God and reach out to the community with the message of Christ. This was evident by the records of remarkable results of fruitfulness, with a total of 3267 souls saved, 749 were new converts and 1010 rededicated their lives to Christ. The gospel was actively proclaimed during school outreaches, recording a vast number of 1508 souls saved unto Christ.
The four-day programme also recorded immense power manifestations in signs and wonders, notable of them being the conversion and baptism in water and in the Holy Spirit of a street girl, known as a drug addict and commercial worker since age 15 at Feyiase, among many other great testimonies. Another woman who had been using crutches for over three years reported that she was able to walk without them at Abidjan Nkwanta.
Also, a man suffering from severe stomach pain and headache was seen actively playing football the following day at Kuntanase. A fetish priest gave his life to Christ at Esreso, evident that there is potency in the Word of God to save all men. A girl who was demon-possessed received instant deliverance after prayers were offered at Dompoase.
The Resident PENSA Campus Minister, Pastor Emmanuel Ayisi Manu, the principal executives of PENSA-KNUST (President, Vice President, and Secretary) and the Financial Secretary visited most of the centers throughout the evangelism period, baptizing converts in water and the Holy Spirit and encouraging militants to stay vibrant and zealous with this evangelistic mandate at heart.
PENSA-KNUST expressed immense appreciation to God for grace, divine provision, His presence and for bringing yet another season of rural evangelism to a graceful, glorious end. We rendered special acknowledgement to Apostle Gideon Obeng-Darko Debrah, Atonsu Area Head and the entire pastorate for their sincere support and warm reception into your various districts
Rural Evangelism 2026 did not only showcase the powerful manifestation of the Holy Spirit but also displayed the Lord’s desire to save all that is lost. Leaving a lasting impact on the towns by this Gospel and power, militants returned with joy and earnest expectation for the subsequent edition of this evangelistic experience.
